Tired of Apple's locked ecosystem
Switching to Android.
I travel to China half of the year, I NEED and unlocked phone so that i can pop in my Chinese SIM card when i'm there.
iPhone is just not for me.
FU Apple.... so much for Freedom in the US.
WTF!? If you think that one company's choices take away your freedom, then: 1. You rely to much on one company and 2. If you think they are taking your freedom away just move to Libya and report back to me in a year.

I'm sure "Lasso" will be great, after all, Apple's calculator works flawlessly. ;)
Haha! I remember that, that was an interesting problem it used to have

or you can just use the mysql client created by mysql themself. It's still in beta though.
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/query-browser/1.1.html
PS: when using that client to connect to localhost, use 127.0.0.1 instead of "localhost". A bug I guess.

As bad or as good as this seems, it is not going to affect the everyday iTunes/iPod user. Who just wants to buy his/her music and be done with it. Itunes has proved to be a very successful model for this. This FairPlay will only affect those of us who bother with looking stuff up, Downloading new programs, Tweaking the properties, and Then readjusting all of our files.
Not something I see the masses interested in doing.

It still exists, but I don't know if there is a preference pane for it. I don't know how to use it.

In the Time Machine system preferences you used to be able to click on Options and enable or disable the snapshots. There was a bug where it was eating disk space. Mine was off, now it is on, and they removed the GUI to turn it on or off.

my frustration isn't with the Dev Team, it's with Apple. They're focusing sooooo much energy on fighting jailbreaking
really? do you have evidence to back this up?

So... Does this mean my G5 iPod will have increased resolution? And also, when I updated my iTunes and plugged in my iPod it said it was already up-to-date. Hummm... any one have a suggestion?

Do you have pictures? Curious about the refinish! How much did it cost you to do?

Any hard drive will work, you can format it to OS X compatible format in Disk Utility. You can create exFAT or NTFS partition for Windows if you need to use it as well.
Do you want capacity or portability? 2.5" drives require no external power supply which makes them better with laptops since they are plug&play. However, they cost a bit more and most top out at 750GB or 1TB (Seagate has 1.5TB though).

It would be helpful to have integrated debugging, but I imagine this might not be possible since I am going to be using WebGL. In the least I would want syntax coloring, as strong error checking as possible prior to runtime, good facilities to manage lots of files and revisions, and some facilities to speed up workflow. Any advice?
Vim.
Debugging is mainly handled within the browser. Chrome and Firefox are especially good at this (Firefox has Firebug which is useful and the standard Chrome dev tools are top notch too).

So long Zune and plays for sure, just not sure on what now.
I have no problem with competition and think at the very least Zune kept Apple on their toes, even if just a little. Now Apple has moved on and the iPod likely is to be dust as well with maybe the iPod Touch being the only one to survive.

So many remarks... so little time...
Steve Jobs probably hurt their feelings today
Maybe now they can finally get some work done on vista
Or quite possibly they thought it was dumb to run fake OSX in real OSX

Hi,
so the problem is that after I do the the home button power button thing it jailbreaks but it always hangs with a white screen when it tries to reboot. I tried to but it in the whatever mode before I actually do the jailbreaking and the same exact thing happens - it says waiting for reboot and then the screen goes white I get an error and then nothing happens. I've been attempting this for a couple of weeks now with no success first when I was in 4.3.1 and now on 4.3.2. I've checked all over and though it seems people had similar problems I couldn't find a solution. I'm on a mac book pro. Anyone help please.
Thanks,
Eli

I was getting ready for work when the attacks happened. I did not hear about them until I was in my car driving. I was listening to an alternative rock station often known for pulling pranks, so when they first said the US was "under attack" and that both WTC buildings and the Pentagon had been hit by commerical airliners, I thought it was a sick joke done in poor taste... you know, like War of the Worlds or something.
I quickly switched to NPR and heard the same report and I then realized it was true. I went to work - at the time I was an operator in the tech support department of a software company. We received very few calls that day and most of my dept alternated between checking news sites (when we could reach them) and a TV in the other room. The few calls we received were from international customers, many of them offered their condolences. I don't think we received one call from an American customer that afternoon.

Sup guys,
Ive got a iphone 3gs that my friend gave me to JB and Unlock. Its running IOS 4.2.1 and i wanted to restore to 4.3.2 for a fresh start to JB. When I tried to restore kept giving me (1015) error messages, I also tried the restore on a Mac and another Win7. Ive been researching on the Internet for the past 3 days! I downloaded so many programs its not even funny. I tried ~~~ Reb00tMee - iReb - Blackra1n - Recboot - iRecovery - TinyUmbrella - LibUSB - and also tried to downgrade iTunes and do all that - and many other things!! :o:o:o:o:mad:
Plz help me on this!
P.S. The symbol that the iphone is stuck on is the `Connect to iTunes` AND I AM NOT TRYING TO DOWNGRADE I AM JUST TRYING TO DO A REGULAR RESTORE. Ive done many JB's as well.
HELP!~!~!
I feel your pain. I did the same thing over the weekend. My wife actually was transferring music over itunes and helped me out by updating my jailbroken, unlocked, 3gs. Which of course got stuck on the conect to itunes logo. After I changed my pants I downloaded about everything I could get my hands on to figure it out. The only thing that worked for me was redsn0w to jailbreak (I had to put the ipad firmware on it- that's the way I had it before) and then ultrasnow to unlock. Hope this helps- good luck.

Oh how I wish I had bought stock when Jobs was just coming back on board. I seem to remember it has being around $10.00 share in the late 90's. But, at least I have some now. And, I keep contributing to their bottom line. Drink the Koolaid!!
AAPL was about $7.50/share (split adjusted) in December 2001.
