I would think gps information embedded in a photo would be a bad thing. So some kid posts a picture of him and his friends on Myspace and some creep downloads the picture, now they can look up where the picture was taken. Seems like a lot of invasion of privacy.
I don't know if it's a good idea... IF that is what they are planning on integrating.
Now on the other hand, if it is just a way of catagorizing the photos on iPhoto fine. I won't use it, but fine.
not exciting either way

I think that within a year or two even consumers will be demanding more picture quality. Even cheaper displays are beginning to have more contrast and wider gamut than crt's used to have. With new displays consumers start to see PQ problems with older content. This leads to demand for higher PQ content. Here in Finland, sd-dtv was generally considered high quality with older crt's, but when hd-lcd's got more common, people started complaining about artifacts.
And maybe even smaller movie companies start realizing that they need color management...
Well Said!! Agree totally --- thanks for the thoughts.

I only have 229 posts... :(
Also I'm not exactly looking to sell... I just wanted to gauge what it could sell for... it's under consideration right now though amongst a few things I want to sell.
I wasn't intending on offering to sell it on Macrumors in any way though.
I can't even see the Marketplace forum... where the heck is it?

Scr U funky. 13MBP has been their best selling mbp. Why should they kill that? Because you don't like it? Then suck it up.

I believe individuals in a healthy free market generally determine their own fate. The emphasis there should be on "healthy". There are many instances of disease in your free market, many of those seeming to favour the obscenely unequal distribution which is a symptom of that disease.

you connect ipad to your computer. then sign out of itunes, launch teamviewer app. then someone with version 1. connects. transfers the file to your computer then sign in with that info and sync it. the only thing u have to be careful is not to allow ipad to sync apps and stuff as it will overwrite what you have in there.

I have a very convoluted home network. The route from Internet to my current primary system is:
Cable Modem --100MbitEthernet--> AirPort Extreme-n --WiFi-n--> AirPort Extreme-n --GigabitEthernet--> MacBook
When I do a speed test over Ethernet, I get 20-25 Mbps. (This is traveling over 802.11n WiFi to cross the house from one AirPort base to a second.) When I do the same speed test over 802.11g WiFi, connecting to the primary base station, 3 feet away from it, I get 10 Mbps.
That configuration could also be your issue. Each Wi-Fi link is only half duplex, so any packet you send can cause the receiving packets to slow (i.e. collisions). Running from one AP is likely not going to have the same impact.

in washington dc. differential equations class.
walked outside at 9:40ish to people rushing to leave town, national gaurdsmen and policemen driving hummers around- general confusion and terror.
spent the day looking for a red cross station to give blood- the red cross building was already closed.
watched the smoke from the pentagon from my aprtment.
terrible day. not something i'll ever forget.

You may have had your expectations too high. Apple did exactly what rumors had predicted, and a little more (updated shuffle, and we weren't 100% on the iTV).

Hey, I recently found myself a PowerMac G3 350 mhrz and want to put OS X on it. It currently has 8.5 installed on it, so when I tryed to boot from the install disk I got the weird source-like jargin. Anyway, I tried to install the "9.2.1 Update" but it says that my Firmware is out-of-date and that I need to run the utilities from the CD Extra folder. Well, I think that the CD that I got when I bought this computer is from a G3 Server, so it doesn't look to have any firmware updates on it.
Anyway, what should my next step be? Where would I find firmware updates that old? :p This compu will be worthless for me if I can't upgrade it to OS X, Classic is dead.
Thanks for any help.

Interesting "let's calm down" comments from Gizmodo (http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/tmobile-and-apple-deal-in-the-works-we-think-not-206284.php) - with which I happen to agree.

I got back to my fraternity house after my morning class just before the plane hit the second tower. There was a lot of confusion - 25 people crowded around the TV, trying to figure out what was going on. All anyone knew was that one of the WTC Towers was smoldering. And as we watched, the second plane hit.
I go to school in upstate NY, so there were a lot of frantic phone calls that went unreturned over the next minutes and hours. Some eventually got through. Some were never returned.

Would that be possibly that Apple is trying to patent as many as possible user interface/method so that no one can get anything closer to the REAL video iPod?
I think there's a lot of truth in this.
The idea in this patent looks VERY intuitive to me, but it does fall down in being usable one-handed.
Nobody knows what Apple will actually come out with, nor when they will do it. It wouldn't surprise me if Apple take another 9 months to release the "true" video ipod. They've got some difficult engineering to do!
