Let me know if you get there earlier.

http://www.bgr.com/2011/01/21/att-may-implement-speed-and-data-tiers-for-4g-lte-service/
Click on link!
BGR has learned that AT&T may have plans to offer tiered data services when it launches its Long Term Evolution network later this year. The carrier apparently plans to trial two separate types of tiers alongside its LTE service: speed tiers and data tiers. Speed tiers will provide LTE data service at varying rates of speed depending on the plan a customer selects, similar to land-based broadband services currently offered by ISPs. Data tiers will afford subscribers data buckets of varying sizes, similar to the configuration of AT&Ts current data plans.
The carrier may also have plans to give subscribers the option to boost services temporarily for a fee, according to a document provided to BGR. The documents mentions Top Up Sessions, which allow users to increase their data allotment for the remainder of a billing cycle, and Speed Up Sessions, which will allow subscribers on lower-tier plans to speed up their service for a specific duration. The document does not provide any details in terms of what speeds might be afforded by each tier, nor does it detail how much data will be included with each of the various data bucket sizes. It is also currently unclear how many speed and data bucket options AT&T might intend to offer its LTE subscribers. According to the document, AT&T will begin trials of the aforementioned tiered LTE service plans in May for this year. Hit the jump for an excerpt from the internal AT&T document detailing the tiered data.

I'm not a huge fan of her work, and I think she was way overrated when she first started getting built - but I have to admit she is picking up her game every year. This looks like a nice project.

So, now Zune software is gonna compete with Windows Phone 7?
This is not correct. Zune is the brand (or service) currently & in the future to deliver music & video. Windows Phone 7 is their smartphone platform currently. So basically Zune will be service integrated into Windows Phone 7 (or any other OS Microsoft platform that MS wishes) to deliver music & video.
I've never used the Zune service on WP7 or the Zune software on my PC but from when I've read & heard it's actually very good. Many people that I know who use it say it's much better than iTunes. But that's anectodatal evidence at best.

As per before, ground rules apply.
Monthly Desktops Guidelines:
• For large images use rather than [img]
• Use attachments when necessary so images don't disappear when they are removed from their source
• When possible, include links to the full-sized original so others can download them. If you don't want to share, state that in your posts so others don't continue to ask for links.
• When quoting a post with images, leave the image out, or make sure you [timg] to reduce clutter.

Where's Hingham? I got to BU for school and currently live in brookline. Is this closer than the apple store in the Cambridge Galleria? I'm not sure if I'll be buying Leopard or just waiting till next week before I order a new MackBook Pro that ships with it.

So they're going to adopt a vertical business model and make their own hardware locked to their software, that will be targeted toward providing a superior user experience.
Smart move. Finally!

I might actually go to the 2100 best buy because of points and I can put it on my card. Hopefully they will have it in white! I don't think I can camp out, so I will be there in the morning to see how the line goes.
I wonder if other retailers like Best Buy or Wal-Mart will start selling them early or at normal time instead of 5:00 PM?

I wouldn't see it as a professional program especially compared to Apple's other music software 'Logic' which is much more functional. However, its an awesome way to get into music production and as with anything in that vein, if you can get good sounds from cheap/simple equipment then you will fly when you move up to software with more functionality! To some extent, its your skills that determine how far it can be pushed...

Many users have the same problem, me too !
I have the new MBP 15.4 2.0 GHz and i have the same issues when i connect it to my iMac 27 " !
I cant find a solution ...
REally.. I didn't see much post about them.
I am really thinking of taking this mbp to apple store.. For over 2k, this is not good. My $500 pc laptop is working fine w/ the external monitor which I really need to get some serious work done at home.

I think you mean translucent :p
Your right. I was more thinking about the process in making it translucent.
For some reason a translucent image is made by changing its "opacity"... I dunno why they don't call it "translucency" lol.

Google ships not a single phone. It provides a free OS (from which it makes little money) to handset makers that sell phones. None of those handset makers sell a phone as popular as the iPhone, and all of them combined do not make as much money doing so. If one is comparing iOS (all devices) to Android (all devices), recent data suggests iOS is the more widely used.

Oh wait..I cant work and I cant drive. Damn my age!
Anyway man, to be honest, I think you should really be advertising in the Union Tribune Classifieds or something like it. Posting on a multinational Mac forum wont really get you much.

I assume you referring to streaming music using iTunes. If so, I'm pretty sure not being able to play purchased music is part of the DRM. However, if your computer is authorized to play the songs purchased by the account that bought them, then I think it lets you stream them. For the purchased music, I'd recommend moving one of them onto your computer and authorizing it for playback. Then you'll be able to stream all the others bought with the same account. Or, you could just copy all the purchased files, and stop streaming them.
