well if you did look :P

why do you want to use asp.net and take the extra cost in sql server and windows 2003...
The main reason is that I already have a lot of .NET code that could be useful for web development. I'm not using windows or sql server though. I'm trying out Mono's ASP .NET and I've already ported some of my code to Mono and to MySql. But in spite of this, I don't have much experience with web apps so I would feel much better if I could take a look at what other people have already done. I have decent-enough skills to build the shopping cart, but I've no clue about security issues, so that I would like to learn.

I read an article that said that Intel chips are more likely to attract hackers, because in order for the chips to work properly, Mac have to recode the OS therefore causing a loop hole which hackers can use - Only something I read but if its true, who knows?

I think a hard case would have higher protection.
i had a hard case before and my ipod fell from my loft bed (not even close to 2 metres), and fell apart and my ipod was dead.

Should I just wait for the battery to run out or what? Any help would be appreciated!
Just press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, until it shuts off. Then power it back on.

One of the other rumor sites (AppleInsider I think) is speculating that there is a secret announcement to be made today by Steve at the Final Cut Pro meeting.

Who here saw "Commander in Chief"? I thought it was incredibly well written, Geena Davis did an amazing job, as did Donald Sutherland. I think if they continue on the path they were on tonight, addressing the types of issues a female president would encounter, rather than skirting them, it could be a very compelling drama.
Any thoughts?

If you search, you can find a download link that is hosted on Microsoft's own servers. (Or, their digital-distribution partner, Digital River, anyway.)

"I'm wondering if it's possible to install 10.7 to an external drive?"
Works for me.
IMPORTANT:
Something I discovered is that you MUST have journaling ENABLED with Lion, or the installer won't even "see" the drive and/or partition you are trying to install onto.
Up to this point it has been my standard operating practice to DISable journaling (along with Spotlight) on ALL my drives and partitions. Others may disagree, but I don't like the extraneous "disk activity" that goes on behind the scenes with both of these "features" (at least Disk Utility allows users to turn journaling off if they wish).
So, when I first attempted to install Lion to a spare partition, I couldn't even _find_ the partition in Lion's installer. It just "wasn't there".
I quit the Installer and went to Disk Utility, and re-initialized the target partition, this time with journaling ENABLED. Afterwards, the Lion installer saw it and did its thing.
I'm using a USB2 SATA docking station (with a bare drive) as my hardware platform for testing Lion. Yes, it does boot up a bit slower, but once "up and running", it's just fine.
I can't see why anyone would (at least at this point in the developmental stages) want to use Lion as their "primary system". Already have seen a few postings in the forum with the gist of "how do I downgrade BACK to Snow Leopard?" Well, why did you take such a big chance in the first place?

But see, that's just it. If we're working back and forth on .docs and .xls's, we can't have ANY formating problems - they've got to match. AND I'm not going to jump through any hoops by using this or that piece of software to make it happen. Don't have time - gotta produce!
When we first started to look into macs for our company the very first thing people wanted to know was how would documents look and be saved. ITs nice to say that openoffice is close, but close isnt a match. Im hoping the new ODF (open document format) will solve these problems! :D

If I remember this right when I installed OS X on my G3's
I had to install 9.0 > 9.1 >9.2.0 >9.2.1>9.2.2 to get it to work in OS X
the OS 9 installer is the one that had the firmware updates, and I think 8.6 had one too.
Make sure you HD format is the right one too. I think it is supposed to be Mac OS Extended in order to install OS X, so you might have to wipe the hard drive.
BTW I got rid of OS 9.2 from the G3's about a month later so you might just want to install OS X on a clean drive.

That's good advice, I've been doing it with sites I make for a year or so now. I also add a <no script> where I put the email address (without a link) and @ replaced with [AT]. Just in case any random people happen by that don't have javascript enabled.

Instead of buying Microsoft Office, why not give one of the Office clones a try? NeoOffice, LibreOffice or Open Office
I would try these, nice since it is free. If you don't want to download, have you tried something like google docs?

Take a look at this pic. I didn't do all the code work to make all thigs line up but you should be able to see the direction to go with.

Again, I'm not a designer, just an average user, but I like the ad the way it is now. It is visible but not in the way. Just my two cents.

Well, considering you don't seem to understand that once your income is taxed, it is yours to keep, until you choose to spend it, at which time you might owe sales or use taxes.
I like this choice: Yes. The state (we the people) can take that wealth at any time we feel it justified.
Like this is a blatant socialistic communistic choice. :) I wonder if the OP realizes states frequently take things from individuals when it feels justified. Imminent domain for example so a new shopping center can be opened.
Polls always need an "undecided" choice.

I mean, I really doubt it is, it was in my pocket today when someone splashed water on me, but I doubt very much touched it if at all.
It's starting to get really weird, like the home button will work for a little bit and then voice control will randomly activate and then I'll lose control of the phone and it'll act like I'm screwing with the home button (the quick-start menu will pop up, it'll switch black-and-white mode, voice control, etc...)
Maybe it is water damage? I mean, the phone wasn't wet or anything, how would I know?
That would explain it though cause those symptoms come with water damage.
Check your moist sensors one is on the bottom of the phone where it plugs in and the other on the top where the headphone wire goes.

Would a Thinkpad T30 work? It's got 512MB RAM, 40GB HD, DVD/CDRW/Floppy hot-swap drives and a base station, along with a power cord or two (I have 4 but I doubt you'd need more than 2)
Let me know!
Thanks for the offer, but I am not really a fan of the T30s because they are so thick :D Still good machines, but I would prefer a Centrino /Pentium M model.

Did u have version 1.0 in itunes? THe way it works is when itunes on mac or computer updates apps from app store, it moves old copy of the app to trash folder on mac or recycle bin on PC. So you can fish it out from there. If you never had it in itunes before then you are out of luck.
ahh yea, i never got to sync the app yet to itunes :( i updated to 1.0.1 on the ipad before i got the chance to sync, I just found this thread last night when i was trying to figure out how to do the VPN for the app. No wonder the VPN wasnt working, i was already on 1.0.1
