This is awesome. Hopefully quality control is still great after this move.
That's what I'm worries about too, but hopefully everything will work out fine.

Hello!
I am trying to go through an XML file and take out certain parts of it.
As seen below, the Line is a child of LineStatus. I would like to remove, say, the LineStatus block that Line ID="2" is in from the XML document. I know the format of the XML is a bit strange, but surely there is a way of doing this?
The structure of it is like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ArrayOfLineStatus xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://webservices.lul.co.uk/">

Well, I'm gonna say definitely creepy, but I assume that's where you were going. I'm not all that fond of the bokeh either, and yet I think it kind of adds to the creepy feel. High likelihood that someone's in a shallow grave back there.
Although I do like using the the rule of thirds usually, I feel this one is fine by the edge. Perhaps even a little closer to the edge would be better so that part of the subject (?) is cut off. Maybe.

This has NOTHING to do with being out of contract. Please stop spreading this myth.
When you buy an iPhone you buy it WITH a two year contract. Whether you use it or other networks or not has nothing to do with ATT getting their subsidy money.
That's why I'm saying that they're going to soon be offering official unlocks for AT&T iPhones. They already offer them for ANY GSM phone that they sell once a subsidy contract has ended. At that point, you have paid them more than the full amount of the phone's value and you actually own the phone. They should offer an unlock for iPhones that are out of contract, just like they do for any other GSM phone they offer.

snberk103: thanks again for the explanation. You continue to provide food for thought. Also, initially, I will not rely on this machine as a "workstation/paycheck" so I have to re-think my strategy, maybe. :) Maybe I am not being realistic and an iMac will be plenty of machine for me! Although I do not buy the latest and greatest every week and that is why the Mac Pro is a viable option. A catch 22 if you know what I mean. ;)
Eaton Photos: I viewed some of your photos via your link and they are perfect. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I saw that you compute with an original Mac Pro. This RAID thing is definitely something to consider, but I do not want to bite off more than I can chew! Honestly, I am overwhelmed with information, and that is good. I have to re-think my goals and configure a machine accordingly. Your machine has been around the block so to speak and it is performing to your satisfaction. This is most encouraging to say the least. :)
dlegend: I appreciate the advice, as I do not take offense to you recommending an iMac! Trust me, I am still brainstorming whether it is a good choice. The mac Mini though, is not an option. Nothing wrong with them and if I wanted to buy a new machine every year or so, then that is the logical route due to Xs and Os. :D
I like the iMac and the 27" screen is awesome, and it must be viewed in person to be truly respected, but I understand it is not optimal for a photography. There are options to upgrade ram to 16 GB which is more than adequate for my needs. Now what I do not like. The HDD is burried behind the monitor. I am mechanically inclined, but I would not feel comfortable using a suction cup to remove the glass display in order to access the HDD. Honestly, this is my only concern and I countered it by ordering a machine with an SSD and 1 TB HDD respectively.
Thanks again for the advice, as I am indebt to the folks in the forum. Now I have to prioritize my needs: by placing my wants in the recycle bin and finally order a machine! :D Decisions, decisions.
EDIT: This thread serves as a great "this vs. that" discussion. Meaning, what do I want and/or what is required. Sometimes there is a vast difference between the two and I speak from experience.

Right, that's why Android has taken over the #1 spot in the mobile space
Irrelevant. Just because Android is the lowest common denominator doesn't make it better. Nor does it mean that Apple aren't going to carry on making huge profits. Consider the case of OSX/Windows if you need help understanding this.
and why there are threads with thousands of people asking daily for jailbreak updates? lol
So there are thousands of people who stupidly didn't do their research and bought the wrong product. Compare that to the millions of satisfied customers who don't spend all day whining on the internet.

Not in front of my computer right now, but somewhere in iTunes Preferences, either in "General" or "Devices," there is a setting for preventing automatic backups. That should allow you to skip the backup, which seems to be what is keeping your upgrade from completing. Ideally, of course, we should try to figure out what is hanging your backups, but unfortunately, I'm out of ideas about how to fix that.

I imagine the process goes through a carrier outside of the US because many countries and carriers offer unlocks for their iPhone customers.
Ok, this makes sense. Probably $100 of your fee goes to bribing a guy who works at some small carrier store in some other country. He types in the number and gets a nice 'bonus.'

Makes sense.
A new designed iPhone in 2011 shouldn't be expected. Far too early too be bored with the iPhone 4.
Unless you're in the 1% of geeks or one of those "OMG I'll die if a new iPhone doesn't come out" spoiled kids out there who need new phone's, ipads, OS's, UI's every few months.
Spec bump in redesign in 2012 - that's one to bet on.

i0nic said he would release a jailbreak by this coming weekend
er didn't he said he was going to release it this past weekend? Then retracted saying "I never promised anything"?

In answer to his other question, whether the backlit keyboard will make a re-appearance in the next MBA ... I would say the jury is out.
Some are convinced there are technical reasons why the blk isn't in the current model, and those same reasons will prevent the inclusion of the blk in the next MBA.
I, on the other hand, along with others, don't agree with that assumption, and think there's a decent chance the next MBA will in fact have a backlit keyboard.
Yes, I agree. Like the lock switch on the iPad, this is frequently requested (according to this and other Mac sites).

If it is an iMac, or in fact, any G3, check to see if there is a firmware update that you need to run.
Also on G3's don't you have to install Mac OS X within the first partition (within the first 8gb)?

Lion still lacks Expos for Safari tabs. This sucks because it only seems natural to 3-finger swipe down in fullscreen Safari to see all your tab windows (as you would in any other program). Instead you have to remember you have a tab open and move the cursor up to the top of the window to reveal them.
Am I crazy or does this seem like pretty low hanging fruit Apple should be on top of?

Wow, and nobody could have seen this one coming. Proof that the demand is low: I've never even seen one!
Well just another failed product by microsoft.
No, I'm pretty sure Apple canceled the Zune.
This is all so funny. Almost as funny as Apple's total failure in the server market. Remember? They recently cancelled the Xserve product line and they even quietly retreated from developing a standalone server version of OS X. Did you guys laugh so much about that, too?
So, now Zune software is gonna compete with Windows Phone 7?
No. The Zune software is for Windows Phone 7 what iTunes is for iOS.

Airport Express is GREAT! You will love it!
Of the four people I've helped / convinced to switch - three of them HAD to buy an Airport Express. Sure there are lots of wireless routers out there... but AirTunes is just cool.
Yea it is. I have it in my college dorm room which is a suite with 2 rooms and a living room. All my roomates and I can be sitting on the couch in the living room, online, playing music on my speakers, and printing...

I think they removed it, but according to Andrew Welch (president of Ambrosia Software), "Everything that was free in the older, free WireTap continues to be free in WireTap Pro. You can use it to your heart's content to record AIFF recordings, and never pay for it." If you use other features, an unregistered message is dubbed over your recordings until you register.
Ah. I missed that. Thanks.
