Tagging maps with photos and vice versa is nothing new.
A friend of mine is working on this project (http://www.grapheety.com/index.html) called grapheety (http://www.grapheety.com/index.html). A community related group in which you can meet people in your local area, and tag maps for all kinds of uses.
I am curious what apples reasons are for google maps integration, however if it gave users the option to tag photogenic locations, put maps on their ipod (without doing it other ways) including integrated pictures (pictures of landmarks or buildings in that area), I would love to see this!

Seems like most people don't want to see the footage ever again. I suppose I understand, as it is very traumatic to watch. I have a CNN DVD that has a bunch of footage from that day and the days following, which my wife and I have watched every year since on 9/11. I imagine we'll pop it in again tonight once the boy has been put to bed.
It's disturbing to see it all again, particularly the people jumping from the upper floors, but I don't ever want to forget how the events of that day made me feel.

As luck would have it right after transferring my entire iTunes music collection to my Time Capsule *and* importing 150 of my 300 CDs to TimeCapsule, my TC hard drive broke.
(btw, I have a separate question in peripherals on whether I should replace the TC in the U.S. or London, where I'm moving for the next 3-4 years.)
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1022618
I'm covered under AppleCare and will get a new Time Capsule. But my non-CD music collection is now housed solely on my iPhone. Nearly all of it was acquired outside of iTunes (e.g, ripping CDs which I no longer have).
Is there a way to resync the music collection back to my laptop? I've unchecked music syncing in iTunes for now as I get a warning message saying that if I do sync music I'll lose all the music on the iPhone.
Thanks.

Concur. Never once saw a Zune.
I get the sense MS is scrambling to catch up. They are a software company, and Apple is a hardware & software company (and I'll concede in many cases hardware = gadgets). However, they are all driven by a few streams of software which they continue to improve upon.
Sounds like you need to get out more.

I mainly want more ports on the ACDs so that I can hook up my apple t.v. and watch HD movies on it. I can't believe apple didn't offer HD movie rentals for computers.

I'd imagine they added some major infrastructure to support the movie downloads, so, I'm betting the downloads overall will be a LOT faster with their upgrades.
Yeah, plus 4x the resolution on all videos.
They probably installed those new Intel Xservers.... I heard they are 16x as fast...:D

Really no need for the DI to be active if it's for a guitar. Just get a passive one.

Hi guys, so I have a 2010 13" 1.86 GHz 4 GB RAM MBA and was wondering if you think it will run Lion smoothly.
I don't really do anything intensive with my laptop. 95% of my usage consists of internet browser, Microsoft Office apps, email, calendar, HD videos and iTunes. I was just wondering if I'll get the same "smooth" performance I get now running Lion.
Thanks!

It reminds me of the Zelda Power Bracelet. I'd be worried about damaging it.

I just got the iPad 2 and I was wondering when do you think the iPad 2 jailbreak will be out?
Never. Return your iPad 2 if this will prevent you from enjoying it.

Why on Earth would you expect Apple to ship iWork with it's machines for free? iWork is not MS Works - it's already far superior, and it's still a baby. In one or two more revisions, iWork will be a better overall suite of Apps than Office (which frankly, isn't saying much). It's unreasonable to expect Apple to give that away for free.

I was sleeping, as I had been working the night shift.
My wife phoned to ask me if something major had happened as no-one where she worked could get on to any news websites.
I turned on BBC 24 and said "Holy ****** the World Trade Centre's on fire"
As I sat down I saw the second plane hit.
I couldn't speak for about 10 minutes
I have about 24 hours of BBC news coverage on tape, but I can't watch it.

Could it be that Apple is going to release this new video iPod after Zune so it can steal MS's thunder?....
What do you guys think?
Zune never had a thunder to begin with. I am really interested in seeing what
is going to happen if Apple drops the Clickwheel from their upcoming iPod.

The Boot Camp drivers provided by Apple aren't that great, especially for the trackpad and the brightness controls. When I'm dragging and dropping files in Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro, I tend to press down with one finger and drag with another finger.
I have my trackpad set up on Windows 7 and OS X to have it so that the bottom left corner is left click and the bottom right is right click. Tap to click is disabled.

I'm guessing what's happening is since your window is an NSPanel it is not registered as a main window, so after the About box closes, it doesn't have a main window anymore and terminates. You could try subclassing NSPanel and overriding canBecomeMainWindow and return YES, then use this subclass in your nib.

That sucks. On the otherhand, when Apple sends my Walmart the new batch I can plop one in layway.
The discount barely covered the cost of tax when buying directly from apple.
