I don't like it because it would require 2 hands to use.
I'll think, it will be a Creative video device that Apple manufactures. Windows users will like that stupid UI. Because they don't like the future video iPod, they'll by this thing like grazy and Apple gets the money.
That is the 200 million settlement.
My 2 cents :D

they really are amazing headphones. it's a pity that i can't listen to any of the headphones i have bought in the past few years because they just don't cut it anymore.
you should try the foam earpieces. you remove the rubber pieces, put them on, and then scrunch them up, then stick them in your ear and hold them there for 10 seconds until they expand to form a tight fit. it blocks even more noise than the pre-installed earbuds (but they get dirty really fast, but you can order more on the shure website :))

I'm trying to choose between a new stock-configured Dual GHz from Apple and a 3-month-old QS which includes a 3-yr. AppleCare plan (minus 3 mos.), a gig of ram, a SuperDrive, and an external 40-gig Maxtor FW drive--each one for the approximate same price ($2350). In other words, at the educator's price, I can get the new one at about the same price as the used one w/extras. On the other hand, the used one's AppleCare will not cover the 17" Apple LCD Display I'll be buying later w/out a rebate; whereas, Apple's currently offering a $200 rebate when customers buy the cpu and display together.
Because benchtests reveal little difference in performance between these two models, and some posters have even complained about noise problems and little gain in overall speed in the current line, I'm wondering which will offer the best bang for the buck. I'll eventually be using FCP3 burning DVDs on whatever I get, but I'm unsure of the difference between them. I've seen that everymac.com lists the street value of the QS Feb 2002 dual GHz as worth a few hundred more than the current stock-configured dual GHz, and that these were going fast in August when smalldog and others had a few still in stock. Moreover, the used one also offers the extra warranty.
As an educator, am I better off w/one of the new ones and buying an Apple monitor at the same time, or going w/the "older" model and buying a monitor later w/out the AppleCare plan or rebate?
I could really use some input, especially since there's few reviews available on the new models, and I'm unsure how big of a difference there is between the 167MHz bus speed and the older 133, or the type of RAM each uses. The extra expansion bays are not really necessary in my work, either.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Rick

Most of us didn't need an Apple rep to tell us it was a fake. Spymac will always be disreputable in my mind because of that incident.

Well that's all find and dandy, but if you want to share your purchased music with your office so they can listent to your library, your out of luck.. That's sad and should be fixed..
I think what you are saying is that you want to share your purchased music with others in your office that didn't purchase the music, but I'm not sure. Try rewriting your post. Assuming that what I think you are saying is what you are actually saying, the issue of not being able to share is not something that is broken, and therefore can not be "fixed." Not being able to stream the music is part of the DRM of the iTunes Music Store. You are allowed to play the file on up to 5 computers, not stream it to an unlimited number.

Why the hell would I want to waste space and money on something that gives me the same resolution as a monitor half its size. This is about computer displays, not family room displays.
Actually I believe what we were talking about was how much cheaper units can function as computer displays.

You'll want some guides to learn OpenGL, the graphics library many 2D games use.

Interesting, I use Westpac (although I'm in NZ, not Australia), and I haven't had any problems whatsoever with Safari.
The St. George Au Web banking site has a heart attack every time it sees Safari, and tells me to use IE or Netscape, the flaw is, there is a little continue button at the bottom, and when clicked on, allows you to continue using Safari. The funny thing is, there is numerous banners all displaying 'NOT COMPATIBLE WITH XP SERVICE PACK 2' all over the site. WTF?

My sister has it, I'm aware it's "heavier" but only by about 1/4 of a lb... don't be dramatic, the old iPad that you LOVED was way way heavier. This is still barely heavier than iPad 2.
Xoom 2 will debut real soon? Xoom WiFi came out THREE DAYS AGO, lol. You're clearly not up to date with the Xoom.
And show me ANY evidence that there's an 8.9 or 10.1 iPad coming out... jeez, you just spout sh@$ out your a@$
I'm talking about the samsung 10.1 and 8.9 that was revamped due to the iPad 2. That makes the xoom the biggest tab in the game. The wifi version was already being released and most likely made, so they had to ship them. I wouldn't doubt a xoom 2 being announced by end of summer.
If I mention 10.1 and 8.9 and you relate that to an iPad, with all the talk of the new sam tabs, you obviously have no clue what's going on, but I digress.

This is in line with the iPhone life cycle.
2007 - iPhone (the Apple Beta)
2008 - iPhone 3G - Complete Redesign (or, IMHO, the "real" launch)
2009 - iPhone 3GS - Modest update
2010 - iPhone 4 - Complete redesign
2011 - iPhone 4.5 - Modest update
2012 - iPhone 5 - Complete redesign. (or at least, significant overhaul.)
iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.
seems like apple is using the same modus operandi "tick-tock" as intel :apple:

RIP.
I've always loved "Stuck in the Middle With You", but I think that is the first time I've ever seen the video. Cool. For the longest time, I didn't know that was Rafferty singing.

I am happy I got ubuntu Linux running under Parallels. It almost emulates the Lab version except for FPC not working correctly for compiling. But terminal works great using GPC. I should be starting on this tonight, with my Top Down Design.

Nicely put... nicely put. :apple:
Totally
Can't even browse the web with it. Or listen to music. Or use 1000's of apps. Or look at videos / pictures/ books.
But you can play dodgy emulated games that crash within two minutes, run more than one process at a time causing out of memory error messages. Play divx movies that work at less than 10fps. Overheat your battery by making a wifi hotspot.

meeting someone in person who has the 1.0 version and having them log into iTunes on my iPad long enough to install the app and then logging out.
Kind of an underground app sharing scenario requiring an actual meeting.
I'll buy the lunch :)
I'm in Brooklyn. Do you drive?

figure out how to change the apps that were labeled wrong... I was doing something pretty dumb.
Still would like to know how to assign image to an app that wasn't part of the original theme. Thanks.

Why not just get a Bluray firewire external combo-drive, or superdrive? That way you can add Bluray capabilities to your mac. Just a thought.
his mac is older i don't think blu-ray can work
