everything is working but i want to restore to factory settings so do i need to restore with a custom firmware? is there a way to restore without having cydia on it? does anybody have a custom firmware that will work on my 3gs without installing cydia?
Thanks

Drop resistance is important for me. A drop will happen eventually onto a hard surface, I want to make sure it does not affect my phone at all.
It would need to be sleek though and not too thick.
How is the otterbox commuter?

All:
After applying the 4.3.2 hack I no longer have the Personal Hotspot feature in the phone. Does anyone have a means to recover this so I can use either mywi or ATT? I'm paying for tethering service.
You're on AT&T and paying for tethering but the personal hotspot option is not available?

Heres the thing the new wireless spectrum actually is WiMax, to those who don't know what WiMax is, pretty much some people say its WIFI on steroids. Also the fact that if Tmobile is talking to apple it may have to do not only with Iphones but laptops. Wimax works in a way that you can have broadband connections up to 75mbps. So if Tmobile is talking to Apple they are probably going to design a chip or something so that people who buy apple then sign on to Tmobile and will have access to the internet with extremely high speeds anywhere in the US. :) What Tmobile is doing has more to do with Laptops than it would with Phones. Think of it on WiMax you can have IPTV and VOIP running and still surf the net. Not only that Intel and Motorola invested over 1 billion into Clearwire, INTEL IS designing new chips for WIMAX. I dont think this has to do with the Iphones.
If this is the direction T-Mobile is heading in... I'm there. Although I doubt it would be something seen anytime soon. Not that I would buy a T-Mobile phone, but I'd get their net access if it was Mac compatible. Heck, if any cell provider offered Mac compatible broadband, I'd be on it. Even if that menat having to buy a new machine, just for the compatibility. What better excuse for a new Mac? :)

On Internet Explorer on Windows XP, the left and right side bars have a smaller font (ie. Way smaller) than the rest of the site.
This is at medium font size in IE's settings.

Save those SHSH Blobs fast. I saw that 4.3.2 came out and right when I got back from lunch, fired up my laptop and saved them for my iPad 2. Also saved again for my iPhone just for good measure.
Hello there, do these shsh need to saved to the PC?? Or the ipad itself?? But if the ipad jailbreak is not out yet how can it be saved using tinyumbrella which is availabe thru cydia

Anyone here who uses a stand with their MB Air? I'm looking for a small, stylish stand that angles the Air up slightly towards the back. I am currently using a belkin cooling stand, leftover from my MB days.
Using xtand with air 11.6, and I am pleased with functionality and style. Will post a photo later on today, but have to mention that I had to add four 12 mm silicone pads to lift the air a bit. Xtand looks like it was built for 11.6 (when you add those pads yourself)

well if you did look :P

why do you want to use asp.net and take the extra cost in sql server and windows 2003...
The main reason is that I already have a lot of .NET code that could be useful for web development. I'm not using windows or sql server though. I'm trying out Mono's ASP .NET and I've already ported some of my code to Mono and to MySql. But in spite of this, I don't have much experience with web apps so I would feel much better if I could take a look at what other people have already done. I have decent-enough skills to build the shopping cart, but I've no clue about security issues, so that I would like to learn.

heh... not that anyone actually cares... since it is all based on feel.
The new design actually starts slightly higher on the page than the old design and the middle column story actually isn't significantly elongated.... at least in this sample resolution
Note: the Yellow Dots note the top-left and bottom-right of the first article in the old layout. While the Green Dots are positioned at the top-left, and bottom-right of the new layout. (same resolution, around 830pixels wide and then shrunk down 50%)

I'd guess that we'll see a move to Lithium Polymer batteries first (though two lithium polymer batteries never hurt anyone)

Oh, and 5P has left the building, for an undermined amount of time. ;)
I read a post somewhere that said 5P had left us.
Is that true? That would be so sad. :(
As someone once said, "He may be a bastard, but he's our bastard."
Probably 3 days, if my experience is to be trusted. ;)

What are you planning to do? Lots of tilt/shift effects are possible in post these days.
You can correct converging verticals easily (using the Photoshop transform tool), create the look of reverse-tilt low depth of field images (http://www.visualphotoguide.com/tilt-shift-photoshop-tutorial-how-to-make-fake-miniature-scenes/), or use focus-stacking to increase depth of field in photoshop (http://www.drkrishi.com/adobe-photoshop-cs4-auto-blending-focus-tutorial) (instead of using tilt).

As bad or as good as this seems, it is not going to affect the everyday iTunes/iPod user. Who just wants to buy his/her music and be done with it. Itunes has proved to be a very successful model for this. This FairPlay will only affect those of us who bother with looking stuff up, Downloading new programs, Tweaking the properties, and Then readjusting all of our files.
Not something I see the masses interested in doing.
