My parents love their 11.6" MBA. My mom was considering an iPad and when my dad saw the MBA, he thought I scammed her into paying more money. Now that he is using it more and more, he finally came around. :)

Yep seeing these all over campus now, I'm hoping Apple takes some design cues from the Air and adds them to the MBPs, aka no DVD drive and instead fit a dedicated graphics card in the 13in model and remove the glass screen.
I kinda like the glass screen and the bezel. I know, I know, my opinion doesn't exactly jibe with most MacRumors commenters. But for me the glossy look is nice, and the black bezel frames the screen nicely. The Air didn't look quite as good to me. I'm also not entirely sure that I liked the wedge shape that much. It felt very flimsy, even though I know it's a solid product.

these sell for 1800 new... they also come with a $300 ipod touch and a $100 printer. i would be willing to offer 1500, but i dont really think it is worth more than that.

:o true, sorry about the laziness. I couldn't find anything worthwile so I thought it'd be good to get some advice from the good people at MR. The problem with googling "ASP .NET shopping cart" is that the first 1000 pages or so will be about non-free stuff. Adding "open source" or "free" didn't improve the results that much either. I think I'm going to give PHP another shot since there's tons of open source stuff for it.

Ok since AT&T is cracking down on free tethering via MyWi, Pdanet, or TetherMe, Developers are trying to be stealthy about it.
The way you can test if these apps are hidden from AT&T is to actually purchase the metered tethering plan for one month
Then install PdaNet and see if it shows up on your bill.

I guess a better question is if they'll run out on Friday. I've heard a lot of stores get shipments on Friday. On the other hand, maybe an explanation for the 5PM release is show shipments get there in time and they don't restock over night.

I enjoyed this post immensely as well. As someone in the chemical/nuclear engineering industry, my clients always gripe and complain about corporate greed when big bad oil makes $10 billion in profit in a quarter, but when Apple does it everyone sings their praises as their money goes right into Steve Jobs's bank account and talks about how great it is that the money they've worked for sits somewhere cross-country in the form of numbers on paper.

And if my money is going to line someone's pockets, I'd rather it be someone who returns the favor by making my life more enjoyable rather than someone who will gouge me for a natural resource I need to transport me to the job to earn the money to pay for that natural resource, exploiting every war and rumor of war to charge me ever more for the privilege.
