As a professional web designer here is my input, take it for what it is worth:
Pros:
-Improved, more modern look with the tabs
-Compatibility
-Size of HTML file
Cons:
-Too much information coming at you at once with three columns instead of two
-Larger Google Ads
-Still not remotely consistent with the mac fourms in terms of style
-Addition of additional color (light blue), which makes 4 (red, tan, white, and now blue)
Overall, a good start, but there is still a lot more asthetic work to be done.

Can't you just:
[1] Use -webkit-box-reflect (as you do currently for Safari)
[2] Include -o-box-shadow (for Opera)
[3] Include -moz-box-shadow (as you do currently for Firefox)
[4] Remove the box-shadow declaration
*slaps myself in the face*
Of course, all I had to do was put -o- before the box-shadow... Don't know why I'd forgotten about Opera's prefix.
Works great, thanks. Now, just to get Internet Explorer to render the page in a way that isn't completely ugly...
Thanks for the help. Any thoughts on the design then?
EDIT: Never mind, spoke too soon. It looks like -o-box-shadow doesn't work in Opera... For me, at least. Also Opera doesn't do the border-radius on the images any more (I believe it did do so). Not sure what's happening here.

Hey guys,
I recently moved to the UK from NYC, so no more US TV for me :(
Maybe one of you can let me access their VPN from my iPad? Will pay you $50/mo. to help offset your cable bill. Thanks!
aristo - sent you email
Coleman - don't go crazy on 1.0 apk. CV can easily force you to upgrade by disabling access to their service via older software. I'm sure its easy for them to do it.
Even if you remove DRM I don't think u will be able to install it on Ipad2. In order to install it you need appsync running

Excel truly is the standard in this case (actually doing a good job), and it will be very hard to convince users to switch.
Go look at Pages; Word's been the "standard" for years and Pages can write Word documents. I'm sure if Lasso, Numbers, Charts, etc. will also be able to save in Excel documents. I believe AppleWorks can, and if this is a step up, and since the world has moved a little more, there should be no problem with Excel and Apple's new application.
I'm sure "Lasso" will be great, after all, Apple's calculator works flawlessly. ;)
What was the problem with it again? I wasn't using a mac then.

eMacs are still the best dedicated iTunes machine around. Those speakers are incredible. I have the all-white 1GHz w/Gig RAM. Sadly I think the FW port has stopped working.

While the events at Podcamp Boston (http://www.podcampboston.org) begin that weekend, I think it's more important to gather at the Hingham Apple Store at the Derby Shoppes to get Leopard.

There is some really big factor why people will still want there Portable games.
1. They are much more child friendly. A DS no matter how you slice it is better for a Child to play then a Ipod Touch.
2. Dedicated medium for games. Its so that you can barrow a friends game you can buy them physically at a store.
3. the most important a dedicated control system. With hard buttons a joystick is much easier to get more easier types of control in the games. A touch screen is good when you are on the ******* buy when you on long trip you want a game just as long as that plane ride or train ride.

It's a damn shame about not being able to boot off more than one volume that is on the 1880 controller as I ultimately wanted to have 2x 240GB 6G mercury drives each with a different OS in pass through mode, now it looks like I will go for a slightly cheaper SATA2 SSD for the Win 7 install since it will be off the onboard controller.
There's not that many SSD's out yet that can exceed a 3.0Gb/s controller (most reach sustained sequential throughputs of ~250MB/s or so, and 3.0Gb/s is good for ~270 -275MB/s), so you don't need to panic over this.
I suppose I could still RAID0 2x 240GB 6G Mercury drives and use bootcamp to install on a 240GB partition dedicated to Windows 7, but this would be a riskier setup since I would loose access to both OS if the RAID0 played up. The Mac would not have trouble booting two OS off a partitioned RAID0 volume would it?
You won't be able to do this. :(
Boot Camp doesn't work with RAID (hardware or software). So you'll have to use a single disk on the ICH (no need to run the Boot Camp utility, as it's a partition tool). The BC disk does include Windows drivers however (setup.exe), so you may need to run those, particularly for wireless drivers.
You can place the OS X disk either on the ICH or RAID card (flash the firmware, set the disk as the boot location).
The mercury drives do sound reliable though, do you think a RAID0 with the 2x new 6G Mercury's is viable option? Or should I get those RAID edition Mercury drives, what makes them more suitable for RAID anywhere?
The only difference between them is the amount of over-provisioning (additional capacity used for wear leveling; 7% for the Pro series, 28% for the RAID Edition series).
There doesn't seem to be any other differences (same controller and firmware timings from what I can tell). Both have been used successfully in stripe sets on both the ICH and hardware RAID cards. So if you're doing more reads than writes, the Pro series would be fine. If you're going to do a lot of writing (massive amounts of data), then the RE series may be the way to go. Another trick, is not to fill the SSD up all the way.
Nanofrog, could you please tell me what is the special cable that I need to get to use the 2nd SFF-8087 internal port on the Areca 1880 to connect an external enclosure?
1.0 meter SFF-8087 to SFF-8088 cable (http://www.pc-pitstop.com/sas_cables_adapters/8887-1M.asp)

I am trying to do this similar thing - but I am confused
Do I need a pc software based VPN? Can't I just use my router VPN? I have tried VPN with just iPad and router but not working. I wonder if it is because my ip address to my router from cablevision is not static? Although my router ip hasn't changed since I started trying to do this, it keep failing.
Argh I am so pissed that I can't figure this out even with google

does it look crappy like that while you are working in word, or on the finished product? i would assume that word likes to display graphics with a little less quality than what you actually put into them. if you are talking about the finished product, then perhaps you should type your "reports, etc" in word and then get your hands on indesign and put all of your text into there.
