I don't think that there will be another MacWorld Boston. The attendance was very low at the last one that we had in Boston. Of course it would make me happy. Just don't think that the MacWorld Organizers will ever try again.

Did you not realize that was the link posted in the original post?
Not everyone wants to have to click through an obscure link just to see what the OP was talking about.

I would keep your home directory (desktop/docs/music/pics/videos) on the hard drive and put the system/system folder/library/applications on the SSD. In system preferences, go into the advanced user options (ctrl + click your username) and point the home directory folder over to the hard drive's user folder.
no sense in keeping your home folder content on the SSD, that's valuable real estate that should be kept as lean as possible

Have you checked HotScripts (http://www.hotscripts.com)? Personally I'd use PHP.
i'd hope someone who is able to code to figure out to google his answer especially for something like an asp shopping cart....

That would be cool, but there could be a hitch: A lot of those lyric sites get shut down, because you're supposed to license the lyrics from the publishing company in order to be able to use them. So this could cost Apple a lot of money in the long run.

1)The who cares line...love it...great reply.
2)The nonsense you speak of is why Amazon is killing the iPad as an e-reader. Don't believe me? Go read the tens of thousands of comments about how hard it is to read a book (not a website....not an email...a book) on an iPad.
We have both an iPad 1 and Kindle. Absolutely no comparison for reading books...iPad just stinks.
Who said anything about fail? You need to ease up and stick to the comments otherwise you look like a fool. Too late I guess.
I am not sure that your premise is correct btw. Amazon has never told anyone if they sell more books on the hardware kindle or the iOS apps..Not even sure how they can measure since I have a kindle, 2 macs, a pc, an iPad, and an iPhone all on my kindle account.
One more point on this subject, I have never purchased an a book from Apple :) The Kindle store is obviously a better choice, no matter what device you have.

Wow! NeoOffice loses it at line 20. Even with parentheses like this: '=(A1*6)-1'
Well, it does claim to be MS-Office compatible, doesen't it? :D

How do you use 1Password to store email? I own 1Password. Never knew it did that.
I think he means you can add a new entry into 1Password with your serial numbers etc.. Not to archive email.

Again google ships nothing at all. Show me data indicating a single quarter where a major version of Android was shipped on 40 million compatible units and then you can start making iOS comparisons.
It's not me it's the dying man that makes the OS comparisons at every keynote. Well actually he only did when iOS was in a leading position...
The last Android vs. iOS comparison he made was something like: "We have 350k apps!". Well Android now has about 325k apps and grows by about 35k apps per month. I guess that comparison won't make it into his June keynote....

Local DNS would be the main LAN side solution.
There are also programs that can extent Bonjour services outside the local LAN, but that would be a VPN side solution on the individual clients.
As I understand it there is no way to extend Bonjour over a VPN to iPhone/iPad clients so that option is ruled out for us.
What software would you recommend for Local DNS? Or is it something I would need Snow Leopard Server for? Unless it is possible to configure our router for this purpose (Vigor 2820 - couldn't find any options relating to local DNS though)?

The Boot Camp drivers provided by Apple aren't that great, especially for the trackpad and the brightness controls. When I'm dragging and dropping files in Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro, I tend to press down with one finger and drag with another finger.
I have my trackpad set up on Windows 7 and OS X to have it so that the bottom left corner is left click and the bottom right is right click. Tap to click is disabled.

I really can't wait for this marvel.
It is quite nice the hear the coming features. However I find that it kinda kills a little bit the wow effect and the Apple culture when people always try to find out what the next apple's products look like.

Maybe someone here can shed some light on this problem. I am using DP2 and for some reason, preview wont forget files after they've been closed. All of the files in the list have been closed, but for some reason, they are still displayed in this list after they've been closed. I can click on them and they open like they were just minimized. Any ideas what could be going on here?

Do me a favor. If you don't already have it turned on, turn on Dock magnification and move your mouse pointer slowly across the icons. See how they scale smoothly, and yet don't look like crap? Those icons are 256x256 bitmaps. Its all about doing things properly.
But see, these images are never being scaled up beyond their original size- they are being scaled DOWN. That is the difference. We are talking about scaling things UP. Have you ever had an old OS 9 icon in your dock? When you magnify it, it looks like crap.
Understand that web designers tend to manage graphics pixel by pixel. Once you start stretching pixels in images across pixels on the screen, everything goes to crap. All you've got to do to see this is turn on your zoom feature.

Comex has been updating his twitter, not sure if any of you follow it or not:
@comex: yeah, uh. I can find kernel exploits, but this is ridiculous.
@comex: As noticed by @0naj, my kernel exploit was fixed in 4.3.1.
@comex: I try not to be paranoid, but it is really hard to explain this as anything but a leak.
@comex: The funny thing is that my "new" kernel exploit is actually the kernel exploit used by JailbreakMe 2.0. It was never properly fixed.
@comex: It stayed there from 4.0.2 through 4.3, but was magically found in time for 4.3.1. well, go go @MuscleNerd and @i0n1c I guess
It doesn't seem to be looking very good for 4.3.1

Based on the above drawings, this would be a disaster.
The interface is now clunky, crowded and unintuitive.
Biggest problem- take a look-it will require two hands to operate, thereby negating what every one else has been trying to imitate-the ease of use of the iPod scroll wheel.

I've used: Ghost Armor, Wrapsol, Invisible Shield and BodyGuardz and I can say with complete honesty they are all nearly the same.
Invisible Shield tended to be the most 'orange peel' like, but other than that they are all the same product for the most part, just different cuts.
I'll put it this way, I would order from any of the companies again, they've all provided great support/warranty service, and I was satisfied with all of them.
With that said, every one of the products tends to come off after awhile (usually 6-9 months) but I would always just pay the 2-3$ and get a replacement.

How can you expect OSx to install applications to an Android phone?
If it works on windows then the installer is written for Windows and obviously isn't going to work on oOSx.

And you still haven't responded.
Well, then here... let me respond.
As I posted in another thread, the government by its very design distributes wealth. The question isn't whether it will happen... it will and does. The question is what should the government do when the distribution of wealth tilts to much to the wealthy. It destabilizes the country when too much wealth is concentrated into the hands of too few and it's in the nation's best interest to see that kind of imbalance doesn't become too extreme.

Are both interfaces even up when you have them both connected? See what the status from ifconfig is, and if both interfaces have ip addresses.

Since you still have time, you might want to get a look at some threads about various issues and defects. The Mini is not too bad, but things can happen...
