lol 1 last question is is it 1 cable or do i have to buy the adapter? i looked online for just one cable but i keep getting the adapter instead of 1 cord. but my guess is that you have a regular optical cord then plug the 1 end into the adapter? :S

OMG! That would be awesome - a phone that's a GPS Navigation that you could load where you're going in the phone with relevant picture pointers 'you are now passing MacDonalds on your right handside' and picture flashes up on your phone of the location taken by another user of Googlemaps... while you're driving in the car...
That's way more than I thought the iPhone would be... if it is the iPhone.
If it is then Apple will have pulled another 'miracle of modern technologies' off!
I think this is good thing!

Apparently 4.3.1 is on the way for security reasons, which they're waiting for.
4.3 is not on the way. They speculated that because they thought 4.3 would be hacked at some conference but only 4.2.1 was so there is no need for a 4.3.1. They aren't waiting for anything. They are in the process and working out bugs. It is one thing to successfully JB, another to actually release it to the public problem free. When it is done it'll be released. Comex is working on it.

If the majority of this forum (not adressing or insulting you) would take of their Apple glasses, they would see the reality or at least the potential of the Windows Phone. I love my mac, but I am not biased to some cult.
Windows Phone launched in November, since then they managed to deliver 10k+ apps (and no, 70% of them aren't spam) ! Faster than both iOS and Android app growth rate when they launched. Of course, Microsoft needs to play catch up right now but they surely DID deliver an almost bug-free system right out the box.
Add that (apparently) they managed to sell around 600K+ phones only in February and the total is now around 2.5 million .. NOT bad for a starter, eh ?
Microsoft spent half a bilion only on advertising. They also "bought" Nokia for 1 billion. They basically bought the best hardware manufacturer (IMO, a smartphone in 2011 with a price of >400$ made of plastic is a cheap joke! No wonder about that 500$ laptop Steve quote ..) thus being able to penetrate markets worldwide much faster. Nokia is still #1 in terms of popularity at least. Agressive to say the least..
Have you actually used a WP? Every single time someone watched mine or played with it they went totally wow. Updates are coming and scheduled already.
Joe Belfiore (the "chief" of WP department) was invited to AllThingsD and while being bashed by that old man Apple fanboy he kept his calm and also stayed totally pro also providing a 2-year time to become a big player.
Android is now where it is because of the time they hit, not because of providing a better experience than iOS. They were the first to fight iOS while others were still cooking their own OS or were still using Symbian lol. It's still a laggy OS even with dual cores for crying out loud.
I am not saying WP is going to beat iOS in 2 years, no way but I see it as Microsoft most ambitious project since 360. And look where that got.
That's one way of looking at it.
Another would be that Microsoft managed to fumble away a substantial foothold in the mobile marketplace before delivering WP7, while watching Apple and Google stake their claims.

The MacBook Air and the iPad are the future of portable computing. Thin, light, fast (SSD). Enough power to get the job done, not so much power you need 3 cooling fans and 3 lbs. of battery to do it.
It's not that the MacBook Air is evolving into a mainstream product. It's the mainstream that's evolving into MacBook Air-like products.
Definitely have to agree with you there. We haven't seen rampant advances in software that have outpaced hardware improvements.
The MBA does music, video, internet, email, photos, etc. very well while still remaining small and light.

Sony needs to make use of the already established and once popular "Walkman" name and make a real iPod competitor.
They did bring back the Sony Walkman and it was DOA. Lots of models with no one wanting to buy them. It was a big strategy for them. Sony doesn't know how to market things anymore. Actually, Sony doesn't know how to design things anymore either.

I would take my iPod and Mac to the Apple store, but my warranty is out. It's been out for a long time too. And yes, I am using the Last.fm Scrobbler.
This is the likely source of your problem. The last.fm scrobbler doesn't deal particularly well larger libraries and larger capacity iPods. When you plug in your iPod the scrobbler will attempt to scrobble your plays from the iPod. While it does this, it completely freezes iTunes. If you open up Activity Monitor, you will see iTunes using 100% of your CPU resources on one of your cores. I have a 3 GHz MacPro and it freezes my iTunes for 2-5 minutes. iTunes is not multi-threaded, so it will only use one core/thread.
There is a temporary solution involving the deletion of one of the last.fm scrobbler logs. I'll see if I can find it. You could turn off iPod scrobbling, which will solve the problem. You may also want to try a different scrobbler. Unfortunately, it's probably an annoyance you'll have to live with if you want to scrobble.

I have a house one end is where the Telecommunication gear comes in Thats where I have my Original Airport Time Capsule set up. Recently I put another LCD TV in our Living room with an Apple TV attached to it. Streaming to a NAS drive. It was running fine when it was closer to my TC.
The Living room is the other end of the house. and I was getting Pausing a lot. I Have tried to put the other end of the Living room my old Airport Extreme 802.11n (fast Ethernet 10/100) with extend Wireless Mode and that still doesnt take effect. it seems as if the ATV is still wanting to connect to the TC rather than the EXT. But still the EXT doesnt want to connect at a faster rate that 15. Any ideas how to get this rate up?
Basically the 2 Airport base stations are line of site down a hall way.
Running 802.11n 5ghz mode (5 other 2.4GHZ networks neighbours.) about 20 Paces apart. Both did have the latest firmware of 7.5.2 but my white macbook had troubles connecting so downgrade to 7.3.1 on both. I have attached The logs if it helps.
Smithson TC is my TimeCapsule where my DSL connection comes in. Smithson Extreme is in the dining room.

I have a 16GB iPod touch (1.1.3 with apps, Incase black protective cover, Power Support anti-glare protector) and would like to trade for an unopened 8GB iPhone. I have the original box and all the stuff it came with. There are NO MAJOR scratches on the back, just normal ones from my iPod sock. The screen has no issues nor scratches. It's been used since Christmas day, but looks new.

Hello MacRumors,
I'm very surprised that you had removed(or was it never there?) the breadcrumbs at the bottom of any forum page. I find this very counter intuitive.
By the time the user reach the bottom of a long thread page, I think the most common actions would be to either want to move to a different page of the same thread or to go back to the section page with listings of all the thread titles. In my case, I ALWAYS want to go back to the section page so I can select another thread to view. Currently... there is no breadcrumb at the bottom that I can quickly jump back out of the thread.
There's always the back button on the browser... However, that's practical only if the thread is single page(or I can even stand 2-3 pages, just a few more back clicks, right?). What if I've dwelved a good 10 or so pages into a long thread? Or I'm jumping around a REALLY long thread to try to find something? I would have to scroll all the way up just to find the breadcrumb at the top. Very annoying...
It may seem like a trivial thing and I'm nit picky... but imagine that this repeated annoyance happens nearly every time you view a multi-page thread... I realize that there is the "Forum Jump" menu, but that either requires 2 clicks or you must scroll... Why can't we have both? Jumping else where with "Forum Jump" or simply single click to jump back up a tree.
Also on a side note... your breadcrumb at the top of the forum page is broken in FireFox. The "trigger box" for the "MacRumors Forums" link is a huge box that overlays the next few items in the breadcrumb. Essentially, making the neighboring links useless because it would fire the "MacRumors Forums" link instead.
Please bring back the bottom breadcrumb... It's the most logical place to offer navigational links since the user is most likely done with reading and would like to browse else where.
Please fix the top breadcrumb when viewed in FireFox...
Thanks!

It took them longer than I expected...
Dropping sales since and foreboding news back then from GameStop when they stopped selling them due to lacking demand.
The excuse they gave me was, they decided to stick with game machines and drop mp3 players...
Who knows - maybe there's going to be some manufacturer out there with mp3 players that use Windows 7 Mobile or Android to compete with the Touch - which is why MS doesn't want to make that hardware anymore...
